Logos Free Book

Logos is giving away Mark Boda’s After God’s Own Heart: The Gospel According to David (P&R, 2007) for free in January 2022. This book is part of the Gospel accord to the Old Testament series edited by Tremper Longman III and J. Alan Groves. According to the P&R blurb, this is a “series of studies on the lives of Old Testament characters, written for laypeople and pastors, and designed to encourage Christ-centered reading, teaching, and preaching of the Old Testament.”  As always, there is a wide range of discounts as part of their Logos Free Book monthly promotion.

The History of Evangelicalism is excellent. Starting with mark Noll’s The Age of Edwards, Whitefield, and the Wesleys, the series includes The Age of Wilberforce, More, Chalmers, and Finney (John Wolffe), The Age of Spurgeon and Moody (David W. Bebbington), The Age of Torrey, Mott, McPherson, and Hammond (Geoffrey R. Treloar) and The Age of Billy Graham and John Stott (Brian Stanley). Five volumes for $15.99 is a great deal on this excellent modern church history.
