Logos has something a little different for their “Free Book of the Month” promotion in November. After the rather heavy theology of Moltmann last month, Logos users can download Carol Purves‘s biography of George Muller, From Prussia with Love. His story is retold in this new biography to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Mueller’s birth. This 128=page paperback was published by Day One Publications. John MacArthur likes this series of biographies, saying “they are biblical; they have sound theology; and they are relative to the issues at hand. The material is condensed and manageable while, at the same time, being complete—challenging balance to find. We are happy in our ministry to make use of these excellent publications.”
In addition to this free book, Logos is also offering an “almost free” book, Gunpowder, Treason and Plot by Clive Anderson, for only 99 cents. Someone at Logos has a good sense of humor and history, since this book is about Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot to blow up Parliament on November 4, 1605. “Always remember the fourth of November.”
The book is only 99 cents for a limited time. Be sure to enter to win a 23-volume The Day One Christian Biography Collection. This series “brings together the best in Christian biography, and offers an excellent introduction to the work of God through the lens of history. The authors—whose backgrounds blend the best of their pastoral, scholarly, and biographical expertise—reveal the motivation behind the ministries of some of the central figures in the recent history of Christianity. They recount the lives of missionaries and martyrs, political and social figures, and great theologians and pastors.” The set includes five volumes of 365 Days with Spurgeonas well as many other biographies from English history.
Time is running out, the offer expires November 30. Head to Logos and download the free book while you can!
Love the time is running out line. 😀
