Biblical Studies Carnival – January 2013

jim_west_snuggieJim West has posted the Biblical Studies Carnival for January 2013 at Zwinglius Redivivus.  Jim comments that  since the Carnivals have been “obscenely long of late” his contribution “will not be overly long.”  It is a healthy helping of the best of the blogs for January 2013, well organized and properly snarked (where applicable).  José Airton da Silva at Observatório Bíblico identified this as the 83rd Bibliblog Carnival, although I am not sure there have been that many. Head on over and browse the links, click them all and stuff your head with great ideas.

The February Biblical Studies Carnival will be hosted by Drewe at Delving into the Scripture.  You can  help Drewe out by sending a new Nominations his way as the month draws to a close, or (more importantly), writing some high quality posts which contribute to the discussion of biblical literature  theology, and culture.

I am looking for more volunteers for the 2013 Carnival Season.  I have a few set up but most of the year is clear, email me and pick your month!  Carnivals are a great way to attract attention to your site if you are new blogger, but more importantly it gives you a chance to highlight the best and the brightest in the world of bibliblogs.  If you would like to host a Carnival in 2013, send me an email  (plong42 at gmail dot com), or a comment on this post and I can contact you.

In other Reading Acts news, it looks like this blog is #6 on the Biblioblog Top Ten, although there are some important blogs not listed on that site.
