Biblical Studies Carnival – September 2013

Carnival of SoulsChad Chambers posted the September 2013 Biblical Studies Carnival at his blog Cataclysmic. This is a great collection of links sorted into categories representing the “best of the best” around the BiblioBlogs last month.  Visit Chad’s Carnival and catch up on your reading!

Abram K-J posted his September Septuagint Studies Soirée, the second on what I hope will be an ongoing series of collected Septuagint-oriented blog posts. Jim West continues his own carnival, this time as a series of Provocations. The highlight is the list is that Jim calls me both “nice” and “fun.” So, at least I have that going for me.  Brian Small contributes his monthly Hebrews Carnival at Polumeros kai Polutropos

In other Reading Acts news, Peter Kirby posted a top fifty list using only Alexa traffic data. This means that he was not able to separate out Patheos blogs, several of which would have placed high on the list, James McGrath is usually around the top spot.  Reading Acts comes in at #4 on this version of the list, so at least I am happy with the method.

Next month Brain Davidson is hosting the LXXI. I am always looking for volunteers to host carnivals, the next one open February of 2014. Carnivals are a great way to attract attention to your site if you are new blogger, but more importantly it gives you a chance to highlight the best and the brightest in the world of bibliblogs.  If you would like to host a Carnival in 2014, send me an email  (plong42 at gmail dot com), or a comment on this post and I can contact you.
